...

The Chofetz Chayim was once sitting with his student, talking. It was after the harrowing years of The Great War, and the Chofetz Chayim, already very old, spoke of the future. “Days will come,” he said, “when there will be a war much worse than the one that was; a war that will overshadow this one so much that this war will be child’s play compared to that one…” The student listened, shivering like a leaf in the wind. But the Chofetz Chayim continued: “And after that war there will be a third war, much more horrible that the one before. And after that the geula will come, and the light of Moshiach will shine forth.” The student was frightened out of his wits. But the Chofetz Chayim didn’t stop: “This Third World War will be unlike the first two. In this war, only those who are considered righteous will be saved (unlike the first two).” This true story has been verified numerous times, and its first part, came true quite literally. The second part is coming, the Third wat. Are we ready? Take heart, heed the warning. Prepare an escape route, both physical and spiritual. The world is spinning out of control, challenges and trials come crashing upon us and our children like waves in a stormy sea of fury. We are all in grave danger – be it from technology’s fangs bared at our homes and children; from Covid hysteria threatening to shred the stability of our educational systems built with blood and standing for generations. There’s almost no family or community that hasn’t been struck by one or more of the generation’s calamities. And, as we know, tarbus ra’ah is more painful than the wars of Gog and Magog. Everywhere, people are looking for answers: how can one be saved? How can we protect ourselves and our children from the Final Day of Wrath? And who has answers? The Gra, in his commentary on Shir HaShirim, gives us the golden answer, provides direction and a promise, easily accessible to all: “Before Moshaich comes, the Ministering Angels will ask one another, ‘What can we do for Am Yisroel, who are going to experience terrible, horrible distress and will need special merits to be saved?’ The angels answer: ‘We will give them yeshivos, build halls of Torah for them, filled with students. With that merit they will surely be spared.’” Have no worry, rest assured. The Gra lit the way, gave us the lifesaving solution. Yeshivos -- they are the Ticket to Life. Hashem wants each and every one of His children to make use of it. He makes sure every member of Am Yisroel, his beloved people, will have part in it, every Jew will have a portion in those holy yeshivos so every father and mother, son and daughter will have a Ticket to Freedom. Freedom from the chaos, the estrangement. A float, so no Jew is left behind. Should the wise and insightful wonder why ‘the Master of the Land hath spoken harshly to us’, and yeshivos are deemed to forever be poor and lacking, the answer is simple – it is part of Hashem’s plan to bring about our salvation! Since the key to our survival lies in the yeshivos, Hashem left them lacking. How lucky are we, to have been offered this opportunity to save ourselves! And how much wiser is one who realizes that simply donating to the yeshiva is not quite enough. Closing a good deal means signing a full partnership with the yeshiva – asking about the financial situation, showing interest in its struggles, finding real ways to help. If this is your real business, a full partnership, you show interest in every aspect of the business. One who chooses this track earns endless merits, because every single day in Yeshiva generates nearly ten million mitzvos and z’chusim! So, rejoice with me, friends! Rejoice true partners, whose everlasting friendship links us in both Worlds! Rejoice wise men, who can discern the real deal, the deal of all deals. Signed with true, everlasting friendship. Who wants life? The question still reverberates, echoes throughout history. It was relevant in the past, and all the more so today. The harrowing past year was excruciating for the Jewish Nation. No one escaped its wrath, not even yeshivos. Today, the question ‘Who wants life’ is amplified tenfold. The recent waves that crashed upon Eretz Yisroel triggered tremendous storms in its wake, both physical and spiritual. Every day brings its own tragedy, challenge, and pain. Countless yeshivos were disbanded and students were left scrambling for solutions, digging in the dirt for sustenance. This year has been the hardest one yeshivos experienced since the Holocaust burned the Torah world to dust. Spiritually, the challenges are of the sort which we never met before, and financially – donations have all but dried up. And with travel restrictions, there was no way to rebuild. These are challenging times for us, a test of endurance! But it is a “Tree of Life” for those who hang on. Especially in these trying times, in difficulty and pain, our resilience is tested, our love for Hashem and His Torah is put to test. And we always pass with flying colors! Every step to overcome the challenges, every donation supporting and saving Torah scholars is immeasurable! A merit that will last forever! And salvation is sure to come. Simple business logic dictates that the rarer the merchandise, the less there is of it, and the higher the price one is expected to pay for it. If this is true for the physical world, it is surely true for the spiritual one: whoever helps a yeshiva, strengthens Torah learners in these troubled times, and even doubles or triples his donation – his z’chusim will be doubled and tripled, tenfold! This is how to earn life! Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai promises in the Zohar: “One who feeds and sustains those who need it, especially in time of famine, links himself to the Tree of Life and draws life to himself and his children.” A truly golden opportunity to earn life! Now, a time of famine, after a long, horrible, crippling year. Earn life. Who can afford to pass up such an opportunity? The Birkas Yisroel Yeshiva, headed by rabbi Shmuel Avigdor Arieli shlita, fell into a crisis because of the past year. Here you have the golden opportunity offered by Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai: earn Torah! Grab the opportunity for a part in the z’chus of Torah study in a holy yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel. Earn Life! Be a Partner, Earn Eternity! A Week of Torah in Yeshiva $ 3600 A Month of Torah in Yeshiva $ 11,280 Tell the Rosh Yeshiva: You are the builder of the Beis Hamikdash, right here in the galus! You create a place for the Shechina, make room for it in the world. And like the Kohen Gadol, you should never leave the Beis Hamikdash! There’s no need for you to go out and solicit donations. Stay in yeshiva, teach Torah, Yiras Shomayim. We, the people who received so much from Hashem, will grease the wheels. You kindle the fire, we’ll send our children -- the wicks, and the funding -- the oil. All of us, together, will light up the world and bring the Shechina closer.

With many thanks for your consideration
