Fulfilling Simchale’s Dream

Simchale is the seventh child in a family of fourteen, and as the Medrash says, כל השביעין חביבין (All Sevens are favourite), Simchale is especially favourable. He is a ‘Special Man’ with Down Syndrome.

 

While all of us are dreaming all kind of dreams; getting married, having kids, getting a degree, having a business, owning a car and a house, Simchale understands well, very well, that all of this he doesn’t have and won’t have…

 

Simchale is 26 years old. Over the past few years while seeing his siblings as well those younger than him leaving the house and getting married and building their own families, he stays at home dreaming and talking all day long just about one topic: “I want to make a Hachnasat Sefer Torah!”

 

Simchale is yearning for a lifetime event of his own. “I’m marrying the Torah”.

 

Now is the time to fulfil Simchale’s dream, Writing and bringing in his own Sefer Torah. One that will be his memory, his name forever.

 

A huge an exciting event that will be instead of a wedding.

An opportunity to salute people with Down Syndrome; special and great souls that always spread love. And now, its our time to love them back.

 

As the Misnah says ביום חתונתו זה מתן תורה (The day of his Wedding is giving the Torah).

 

For Simchale we will never say no!
