רבי יעקב ורשואר או כפי שהיה מוכר לכולם "יענקי" לא היה אדם רגיל, החי לעצמו!

הוא היה דמות פלאים, איש של הציבור.

היתה לו הנאה מלעזור לאחרים ברוחניות ובגשמיות. זה היה פשוט ה''תחביב'' שלו!

כבר מבחרותו ניצל כל זמן פנוי ללמוד עם אחרים, לרומם אותם, ולתת להם טעם בחיים. היה סמל הנתינה, דמות שכל כולה חסד ולא מחזיק טיבותא לנפשיה.

מעודו היה ''גנרטור'' של שמחה, כל מי שבא איתו במחיצתו היה נדבק בשמחת החיים שפרצה ממנו, כגביע שעולה על גדותיו ומשקה את כל סביבותיו.

היה מגדלור של חסד, והוזיל צדקה מכיסו באופן קבוע, גם כשבעצמו היה דחוק.

בכל דבר שבקדושה היה ר' יענקי ראש וראשון, כך בבניית בית הכנסת, כך בארגון שיעורים וועדים. גם בישיבת מיר בה למד שנים רבות היה לסמל, בלימוד בשמחה ובחיות.

כשלפתע פתאום נדם הלב הגדול...

חובות גדולים היו לו בחייו, ונשארו חמישה יתומים ללא משען ומשענה כשהגדולה שבהם בת שבע, אסונם של משפחתו הוא אסוננו!

נסייע כולנו למשפחתו ההמומה והאבלה שנשארו אבלים וחסרי כל.

The Fund for the Five Orphans of Rabbi Yaakov Varshuar

Rabbi Yaakov Varshuar, or as he was known to all, Yanki, was a very special person. He life was not centered on his own needs; he cared and dedicated his life for the entire community. His greatest pleasure was to help others - both in Ruchniyus and with Gashmiyus. That was his favorite "hobby"!

Since he was a Yeshivah Bachur, his free time was dedicated to learning with others, encouraging them and elevating them. He was the symbol of giving, always preoccupied with Chessed, and he would never take credit for himself. He would donate large sums of money to many worthy causes, even though he could hardly afford the expenses.

He was a "generator" of cheerfulness, directly influencing all those surrounding him, like a container overflowing with joy.

He was first and foremost regarding all matters of Kedushah; whether building the neighborhood Shul, or organizing Shiurim and Vaadim. He was well known, and indeed stood out, in Yeshivas Mir, where he was the symbol of learning with Simchah and enthusiasm.

And all of a sudden his vibrant heart failed him...

He has taken upon himself many loans during his lifetime, and he has left 5 orphans, the oldest of whom is 7 years old. Their tragedy is our tragedy!

We will all make an extraordinary effort to help his family, who are all overcome with grief, and lack even the very basic necessities.
